HARVARD ALUMNA RELEASES CD TO BENEFIT
THOUSANDS OF PKD PATIENTS, INCLUDING HER TWIN DAUGHTERS

Lisa Ostrow releases debut album with proceeds benefiting the PKD Foundation.

(Kansas City, MO) December 5, 2007
— A perfect holiday gift idea, purchasing this CD gives a gift in return. Singer Lisa Ostrow’s debut CD "Unconditional" is now available for purchase online; proceeds from the sales of "Unconditional" will benefit the PKD Foundation.

Polycystic Kidney Disease is one of the most common life-threatening genetic diseases. PKD causes cysts to form in the kidneys and eventually the kidneys fail. Dialysis and transplantation are the only treatments for kidney failure.  There is no cure for PKD.

Ostrow’s 13 year-old twin daughters both suffer from PKD. Laura and Jennie Ostrow also sing back-up on the CD’s opening selection, "Once Upon a Time." Ostrow plans to donate proceeds from the CD to fund PKD research, which could potentially save her daughters’ lives. The non-profit PKD Foundation leads the fight against PKD through research funding and patient education. In 2008, the PKD Foundation hopes to fund nearly $4.9 million in vital PKD research.

The CD includes jazz, swing, pop, rock and musical theater selections. It is available for purchase on-line at
http://www.lisaostrow.com/, http://www.digstation.com/, or www.pkdcure.org.  Ostrow, blind since birth, has performed in a wide variety of venues across the US and Canada, since childhood, and has been at work in the studio for nearly two years, perfecting the release of “Unconditional.”

To arrange interviews with Lisa Ostrow, PKD patients or physicians, contact PKD Foundation Media Manager, Jennifer Robinson at (800) PKD-CURE or
